The end-of-year fundraiser is underway!
Our chapter has been assigned a new international program in Machacamarca, Bolivia. Our Youth Services has started building their solar cell phone charger. Another team continues to refine their bulk food transporter for The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Our Potters for Peace water filtration project team has decided to work with the project in Bolivia to test their drinking water for contaminants.
We are truly excited to begin a new program in Machacamarca. We are planning our first visit to the community for spring break in 2017 to discuss the community needs and gather information. We expect the first project to be a sanitation project, as they have no working sanitation facilities but realize the importance of proper waste disposal.
All this work would be impossible without the generous support from our donors, and once again it is time for our year-end fundraising campaign. In order to begin our new international project as well as accomplish our local goals, we will need to raise at least $20,000 for materials, labor, and travel expenses. While this goal may be quite large, every donation helps. We would like to request your support of our students and their ongoing projects to improve lives in our local community and around the world.
Engineers Without Borders USA and the University of Tulsa are 501(c)(3) organizations; your donations may be tax-deductible. Please consider partnering with us. Your contribution WILL make a difference!
